Tips/advice for aspiring players:You have to put in the time if you want to improve your game and compete at a high level. Practice, practice, practice. And then, practice some more.

Best advice she received from someone:
Sometimes you need to remind yourself the basics of the game... the things that are supposed to be "automatic" in your mind. If you hit a wall during a match, ask yourself if you are doing the basic things correctly (from your pre-shot routine to your follow through), then shoot with confidence.

Bio

Cassie Francois grew up with a pool table in her home but rarely played on it as it was more of a “toy” for her and her friends. However, in 2007 she started watching 8ball and 9ball leagues play in local bars and wanted to learn how to hold a cue and study different strategies on the pool table. She started practicing for many hours a day and qualified for her first National event within that first year.

After her first year of playing pool, she became friends with Dan Louie (2 time World Champion) who still continues to coach her today along with other local high level players. During this first year, Dan helped turn her into a trick shot exhibitionist before coaching her into a US Amateur Finalist, National Finalist, and then eventually a Professionally Ranked player on the Women’s NAPT tour.

Over the years, besides working with her local coaches Cassie has had the opportunity to spend time with many of the world’s top pros who have worked with her on her game. She has felt fortunate to be able to incorporate advice from all of them and understand many different points of views while competing!
